The Inheritance

Posted: January 17, 2015 in poetry

Before the division of the world
Before the birth of lineage
Before the thought of my existence
Before I was brought out the cargo
Before I knoweth there a God
The great inheritance mine and yours
The first err hands pure
This the work of the serpent
Caught in the trap our first beings
Blood of the Messiah only to wash

Unblinking Eyes

Posted: December 6, 2014 in poetry

Time for those eyes to blink
Accounts of my movements they take
Record of the speeches I make
In this gown with collar my crops dried
Time of harvest my hands bored
Morning and night I sigh
Even though my last is not nigh
Time for those eyes to blink
The very second so many to attain
Lost goods acquired none to remain
My hands to be filled with dirt
To enjoy life as it is
Walk freely without a restrained knot
Talk like morrow comes not
Exiled smiles to show smoothly
My body to be arrayed extravagantly
End of the blink all achieved
No record to make thou defeated

Half heart

Posted: December 6, 2014 in poetry

Just like the two visionaries make whole
Just like the two ears make one
Just like the two nostrils make whole
Just like the two lips make whole
Just like two eggs resting on each other
My heart is not whole without her
Her majestic posture gladdens my heart
Her whimsical movement my heart sings
She is but my other half
Just like the first couple in the garden
She puts apple forward
My acceptance is a guarantee.

For they know not what they do

Posted: December 6, 2014 in poetry

Leaving my heavenly crown
To this sinful world born in manger
To peasants act of humility
Sent by the Father a mission to fulfill
Man’s redemption to seal with blood
I am the lamb, light, way, truth and life
This not pride but what I am
Heart beats as the day comes
Time for this body to be atoned
Half-way journey body fears
But the spirit gives no sanction
To heaven I ascend on the third day
This love is but sincere
Even if otherwise they show
Forgive them that err Father
For they know not what they do

The Civil War

Posted: November 5, 2014 in poetry

Wars have I heard and witnessed
This is but of high discrepancy
Wars have I heard and witnessed
Civil war of the spirit and body
Wars have I heard and witnessed
Bath of blood with high product
Wars have I heard and witnessed
A journey of high planned conduct
Wars have I heard and witnessed
Bullets spray of the flesh’s action
Wars have I heard and witnessed
Even though spirit gives no sanction
Wars have I heard and witnessed
Long lasting war since the beginning
Wars have I heard and witnessed
This with no early ending

Under the OaK tree

Posted: April 29, 2014 in poetry

Under this oak tree we lie
A moment never to throw away
This place filled with array
Eons to praise each eye
Ages to spend here we lie
Your voluptuous body I won’t let may
Adoration of your body everyday
This love’s light never shall die
Hands of the hour and minute run
To turn this eve’s like to decay
Taker to lower earth rings no bell
To the Priest let’s take our turn
Your mouth spit not nay
Our story one can tell

Obafemi Awolowo University

Posted: March 26, 2014 in poetry

Here in Obafemi Awolowo University
A place of learning, culture and creativity
Sound of stepping soles here and there
With thousands of souls from everywhere
Blinded group of the day missionaries at night
Helter-skelter they fly with no right
I can’t but see the beautiful nature around
Tall beings and bright flowers they abound
Obafemi Awolowo University is one in a million
To be outstanding for eon(s)
But learning under her is not sweet as sweet
To a heating stove you walk to get feat
The masters of trade strict like soldiers
Obafemi Awolowo University a garden of scholars

Equal hands

Posted: March 26, 2014 in poetry

This known strange feeling
Decision to tell you my hearer
It lies between good and bad
Equal hands and toes you pray
Grasses in a meadow hands shook
The tall thick palm tree to bend
No strong stepping on the lower grasses
This is the last tale of oppression
Exploitation sent into a no man’s land
Life becomes but boring to live
Between helpful and helpless soul I lie
Helpful hands have been cut off
The egg of superiority develops
In the lonely womb with no place
Equality is but a fake prophesy

White Collar

Posted: March 13, 2014 in poetry

Very obvious it is round their necks

A symbol of priesthood my ass

In this community of who knows who

What can you not get if you know too?

White outside black inside it’s enough

Off this collar you cause my cough

I can’t but speak against your acts

The people’s pain money for your mansions

Their dividends to the almighty

Edification of yourself to be mighty

The hammer of justice I have not

My agents to speak and write you have not

Listen to the steps of reckoning at your back

This mission is on no going back

Mother

Posted: March 13, 2014 in poetry

Mother Mother Mother

In your very alms I grew

Your lovely two breasts my food

Now that our former master has flew

Out of everyday talk and struggle for our hood

That lovely back of yours I rested

When tears dropped your lovely hands cleaned

Not a day I slept empty

Your strive the surety

Mother Mother Mother

Your tears and suffering to give me smile

I remember the long last walk through mile(s)

Your pain to give me gain

This I assure won’t be in vain

Now that my eyes can see my nose

Discovery of your last smile my assurance

Your happiness and joy is but my duty

This is but a certainty

No one to compete with you for eons

This I can assure you for years

You are the best of them all

In a room they queue like a hall
