SEALS raid on Yemen: Two hostages dead

Al-Qaeda militants killed two western hostages during SEALs raid in Yemen. An American photojournalist and a South African, employed by an aid-group were killed during a conducted raid by U.S forces on Friday, 5th of December.

Obama’s administration ordered the mission to save an American, Luke Somers whose life was believed to have been in imminent danger. Defense Secretary Hagel said.

Arabian Peninsula released a video earlier this week with Luke Somers pleading for his life. It was reported that during the firefight, a militant went back inside and shot the two hostages.

President Obama extends his condolences to the families of these two hostages.
