President Obama may appoint Ebola CZAR

Posted: October 17, 2014 in News

President Obama said on Thursday night that he may appoint a CZAR to lead his administration’s response to Ebola.

“It may make sense for us to have one person … so that after this initial surge of activity, we can have a more regular process just to make sure that we’re crossing all the T’s and dotting all the I’s going forward,” Obama said.

He responded to reporters in the Oval Office after his meeting with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Tom Frieden, Homeland security adviser Lisa Monaco and others not mentioned. President Obama made it known that these two people are the leaders of U.S’s response to Ebola.

He also said that Homeland security is busy with other stuffs with the ISIS crisis included. He mentioned how outstanding these people are.

He said he has no philosophical objection to ban of travels between West African countries and USA. But he said that doing so will make it tougher to determine if the people coming in had been to the regions at the epicenter of the Ebola outbreak.
